Please check again all are sitting and their ratio inside to outside is 5:3....

Question:
DIRECTIONS: Study the following information carefully and answer the given questions.

Arun,  Bipin,  Chetan,  Dushyant,  Emol,  Faiz, Gaurav  and  Hemant – sit around a circular table, but not necessarily in that order. Some are facing the centre and the remaining are facing away from the centre.

Dushyant sits third to the left of Gaurav, who is adjacent to Chetan. Hemant sits second to the right of Chetan and second to the left of Bipin. Chetan and Hemant  face different directions. Emol sits third to the right of Hemant . Arun sits to the immediate left of Dushyant. Arun and Gaurav  face each other. Emol and Faiz face the same direction as Hemant  faces.

What is the ratio of the persons who are facing away from the centre to the persons who are facing the centre?
Options:
A) 5 : 3
B) 1 : 1
C) 3 : 5
D) 1 : 3
E) Cannot be determined
Solution:
Ans: (c)

It is given that Dushyant sits third to the left of Gaurav , who is adjacent to Chetan. Hemant  sits second to the right of Chetan and second to the left of Bipin. Chetan and Hemant  face different directions. Hence, the possible cases are.

Given, Emol sits third to the right of Hemant . In case (i) and case (ii) Emol Sits to the immediate left of Chetan given Arun sits to the immediate left of Dushyant and faces Gaurav. Hence, case (ii) is eliminated as Gaurav faces away from the cente. In case (i), sits to the immediate right of Bipin and Faiz sits to the immediate left of Bipin. given Emol and Faiz face the same directions as Hemant . Hence Emol and Hemant  face away from the centre.

∴ The final circular arrangement is as shown below.
