Question:
Find the odds against throwing six at least once with a single dice in three trials ?
Options:
A) 125 : 216
B) 91 : 216
C) 125 : 91
D) 91 : 125
E) None of these
Solution:
Probability of getting at least one ‘6′ = 1 - the probability of not getting ‘6′

Therefore, the probability of getting at least one ‘6′ in three trial =1-(125/216)

=91/216

We know that, Odd against=Number of failures:Number of Successes

So odd against throwing six at least once with single dice =125 : 91
