this question has slight mistake in the solution and hence answer too. the correct answer is thursday and not friday. in solution too, the percentages have been interchangeably wrongly written.

Question:

DIRECTIONS: Study the following table carefully to answer these questions.

Profit made (in Rs.1000) by six persons in the different days of a week.

On which day, the profit of ā€˜P’ is maximum in percentage when compared to the previous day?

Options:
A) Tuesday
B) Wednesday
C) Thursday
D) Friday
E)

None of these

Solution:
Ans: (d) On Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday, the profit is less when compare with previous day.

Profit on Friday compared with Thursday = (14.35 - 12.3) x 1000 = 2050

Profit % = \(\cfrac{2050}{12300}\) x 100% = 16.66%

Profit on Thursday compared with Wednesday = (12.3 – 7.6) x 1000 = 4700

Profit % = \(\cfrac{4700}{7600}\) x 100% = 61.84%
