The difference between the total population of City R and T is 30,000. The ratio of total population of City R and T is 44:41. Total % of Literate graduates of City R and T is 90 %. If the Literate graduates of City T is equalled to two times of Literate graduates of City R then what is the difference between the number of graduates from City R and City T?

Options:
A)

138200

B)

126200

C)

133200

D)

158200

E)

124200

Solution:

Ans: (c)

According to question,

\(\cfrac{3}{85}\times\) x= 30000

 x = 850000

Population of  City R=\(\cfrac{44}{85}\times\)850000 = 440000

Literate people in city R=\(\cfrac{7}{11}\times\)440000 = 280000

Population of city T

\(\cfrac{41}{85}\times\)850000 = 410000

Literate people in city T

\(\cfrac{2}{5}\times\)410000 = 164000

Number of graduates of  City T and City R = 90% of 444000 = 399600

Literate graduates of City T = 2 X Literate graduates of City R

Literate graduates of City T =  \(\cfrac{399600}{3}\)  = 133200

so, Literate graduates of City R = 266400

Difference = 266400 - 133200 = 133200
