A=130*B/100
A:B=13:10
A=23 days
days *efficiency =work
total work=23*13( help of A)
A+B=10+13=23
A+B=299/23=13
Or
A+B=(23*13)23=13 days

Question:
A is 30% more efficient than B. How much time working together will they take to complete a job, if A alone could have done in 23 days?
Options:
A) 11 days
B) 13 days
C) \(20\cfrac{3}{17}\)
D) 18 days
E) None of these
Solution:
Ans: (b)

efficiency ratio of A:B=130:100
therefore  time taken ratio=(1/130):(1/100)
                                     =10:13
 now,
if A takes 10 days then B takes 13 days.
but A takes 23 days,hence B will take (13/10)\(\times\)23=299/10 days.
hence 1 day work of  A and B together
=(1/23)+(10/299)=23/299=1/13.
hence time taken by A and B together=13 days.
