alligation method:
(7000/50000)*100=14%

10 15
14 5=50000 then 4=40000
1 4

Let in 10% Rahul invest Rs.x then in 15% it would be Rs.(50,000-x) So applying simple interest formulae. sum total of SI in this case is 7000
So 7000= [(50,000-x)*15/100 + (x*10)/100] by calculation x= 10000
So 50,000-10,000= 40,000

50,000 50,000
10% 15%

5000 7500

end of one year income
7000

(7500-7000) : (7000-5000)
500 : 2000

1 : 4

So the total amount is divided in the ratio of 1:4 and the amount invest at 15% is 40,000

Let the amount invested at 10% be x.
Then we get (10xX)/100 + (50000-x)*15/100
10x + 750000-15x = 700000
750000 - 5x = 700000
5x = 50000
x = 10000
Therefore - 15*x = 15 * 10000 = 150000.

40000. you can solve it by applying mixture and allegation and you will then easily calculate it. the ratio would be 1:4. So 10000 invested at 10% and 40000 at 15%.

x(10)1/100+(50000-x)x15x1/100=7000 then you get x = 10000 and that 15% amount is 40000. so the answer is 40000
