it is given that R is the wife of S and F is the son of R, which means F is the son of S. if M is the grandmother of then definitely we can say that M is the mother of S and since S is a male , he is the son of M.

Question:
DIRECTIONS: Read the following information carefully and answer the questions which follow:

If ‘A x B’ means A is the son of B.

If ‘A + B’ means A is the father of B.

If  ‘A > B’ means A is the daughter of B.

If ‘A < B’ means A is the wife of B.

What will come in the place of the question mark, if it is provided that M is the grandmother of F in the expression:

‘F x R < S ? M’.

Options:
A) >
B) <
C) +
D) x
E) Cannot be determined
Solution:

X= son

+= Father

>= Daughter

<= Wife

Do you know paternal grandmother and maternal grandmother?.....M can be either paternal grandmother or maternal grandmother.....so you can not establish exact relationship...
