The number of persons who live below D’s floor is equal to the no of persons who live above his floor, The person who wears Puma branded jeans does not live on either topmost or the bottom most floor. The person who wears Nike branded jeans lives immediately below G’s floor. G does not wear Puma branded jeans. Only one person lives between E’s floor and that person’s floor who wears Puma branded jeans. The person who lives on bottom –most floor wears Pepe Jeans branded jeans. E does not wear Rockstar branded jeans.

Ans: (e) It is given that, only one person lives above C’s floor which means C lives on the 6th floor and he wears Lee Cooper branded jeans. Only one person lives between C and the person who wears Peter England branded jeans. Hence, the person who wears Peter England branded jeans lives in the 4th floor. D lives in the 4th floor and wears Peter England branded jeans because the number of persons who live above D’s floor is equal to the persons who live below Peter England’s floor. B lives in the 2nd floor because B does not live in odd numbered floor. Only two persons live below G’s floor. Hence, G lives in the 3rd floor. B who wears Nike branded jeans, lives immediately below G’s floor. The information can be represented by the following tabular form.
