Solution:
Ans:(a) let the expenditure in 2006 = 100k

Profit in 2006 = 40% of 100k = 40k

Income = 100k + 40k = 140k = 4,20,000 = 

K = 3000

expenditure in 2006 = 100k = 3,00,000

expenditure in 2007 = 125/100 x 3,00,000 = 3,75,000
