Question:
DIRECTIONS: Given question is followed by two statements, I and II. Answer the question by selecting the correct alternative.

Five persons Kittu, Lallu, Mikku, Nitu and Omi sit around a circular table, facing the centre but not necessarily in the same order. Who sits third to the right of Nitu?

I. Lallu sits to the immediate right of Kittu and is to the immediate left of Nitu.

II. Only one of Nitu and Kittu sits adjacent to Omi, who is to the immediate right of Mikku.
Options:
A) Either statement I alone or II alone is sufficient.
B) Statement I alone is sufficient.
C) Statements I and II together are sufficient.
D) Statements I and II also are not sufficient.
E) Statement II alone is sufficient.
Solution:

Ans (b) From I alone, Kittu sits third to the right of Nitu. Hence I alone is sufficient.

II alone is not sufficient, as we cannot find out, who sits third to the right of Nitu.

∴ I alone is sufficient.
