Each of the six hostels, A, B, C, D, E and F of the same class has different number of students. Only F has more number of students than D. B has more number of students than E but less than A. C has more number of students than both E and A. The hostel having the third highest number of students has 40 students. E has 25 students.

How many students does hostel B possibly have?
Options:
A) 20
B) 43
C) 55
D) 34
E) 14

Ans: (d) 34

E(25) < B < A < C(40) < D < F

From the above line we infer that F have the highest number of students.
