Question asks to Identify the missing number. But the solutions were given for wrong number of the series..it wastes some time during the exam.

Question:
DIRECTIONS: Find the wrong term in the following number series.
7, 9, 16, 25, 41, 68, 107, 173
Options:
A) 107
B) 16
C) 41
D) 68
E) 25
Solution:

Ans: (d) 

The series is based on the following pattern:

16 = 9 + 7

25 = 16 + 9

41 = 16 + 25

68 ≠ 25 + 41

Hence, 68 is the wrong number.
