Question says distance traveled is from K to Y (Question: 100925.0 )

k To Y is 50 Kms. so speed = 50/24 km/min

Question:
DIRECTIONS: Answer the questions based on the following information.  


There are markets which are located as the market K is 30 km to the southeast of Z, while Y is 50 km to the northwest of K. Also, H is 38 km to the southeast of Y. L lies in the direct route between Y and K, and its distance from H is 14 km. G also lies on this route and is exactly midway between L and Y.

If a  loading auto starting from K at 9 am and running at a constant speed towards Y reaches H at 9.24 am and then reaches G at what time?
Options:
A) 9:18 am  
B) 10:16 am 
C) 10:36 am 
D) 10:42 am
E) None of these
Solution:
Ans (b) 

Figure show position of markets.

Distance from K to H = 12 kms

Time = 9:24 – 9:00 = 24 mins      

So, 12 kms = 24 mins

½ km = 1 min ___________(1)

Distance from H to G = 18 + 8 = 26 kms

Time = 26 × 2 = 52 mins (from (1) 


So, 9:24 + 52 mins = 10:16
