Options:
A) 9690
B) 9720
C) 9930
D) 9960
E) None of these
Solution:

LCM of 12, 15, 18 and 27 = 540

The least 5 digit number is 10000,

which when divided by 540 leaves 280 as the remainder.

yes, its known to all...but we need to find the largest four digit number exactly divisible by each of 12, 15, 18 and 27...Thats why 9720 will be the required number... Sol: LCM of 27,18,12,15 is 540. when we divide 9999 by 540 we get 279 remainder. So answer will be 9999-279 = 9720
