Question:
The present age of Suresh is twice his daughter’s. Six years hence the ratio between the ages of Suresh and his daughter will be 23 : 13. What is the present age of Suresh?
Options:
A) 40 years.
B) 36 years.
C) 46 years.
D) Cannot be determined.
E) None of these.
Solution:

Ans: (c) Let the present age os daughter and suresh are x and 2x respectivrly. 

Six years hence, 

Age of Suresh = 2x+6

Ages of his daughter = x+ 6

\(\cfrac{2x+6}{x+6}=\cfrac{23}{13}\)

\(\therefore\) x=20 years

Age of Suresh = 40 years.
