I. 20th of this month falls on the same day as 23rd of the last month i.e., on a Wednesday.

II. 20th of this month falls on the same day as 13th of the next month i.e., on a Wednesday.

Options:

If statement I alone is sufficient to answer the question and statement II alone is not sufficient to answer the question.

B)

If statement II alone is sufficient to answer the question and statement I alone is not sufficient to answer the question.

C)

If the question can be answered by using either statement alone.

D) If statements I and II together are not sufficient to answer the question.
E)

If statements I and II together are required to answer the question.

Solution:

Ans: (b) From statement I alone, as 23rd of the last month falls on the same day as 20th of this month, last month had 31 days. This month can have either 28, 29, 30 or 31 days.

From statement II alone, 20th of this month falls on the same day as 13th i.e. 20th of the next month.

∴ This month has 28 days. Last day of this month will fall on Thursday.
