Options:
A)

2

B)

3

C)

4

D)

Data inadequate

E)

None of these

Solution:

Ans (e) We have total 25 children and they all are facing South direction.

We have to find out number of children between R and B.

R’s position from right is 16th. So, its position from left is (25 – 16) + 19 + 1 = 10th

R is 10th from left.

B’s position from left is 18th. So, its position from right is (25 – 18) + 1 ⇒ 7 + 1⇒ 8th

B is 8th from right.

Now, the positions of B and R become

Number of children between R and B is 25 – (10+8) ⇒ 25 – 18 = 7

Therefore, there are 7 children between B and R.
