हिंदी अनुवाद में कहीं भी मित्रों का जिक्र नहीं है !!

Question:

DIRECTIONS: In the question below is given a statement followed by two assumptions numbered l and II An assumption is something supposed or taken for granted. You have to consider the statement and the following assumptions and decide which of the assumptions is implicit in the statement.

Statement:

Mohan requested his mother to arrange for food for about thirty persons as he invited all his friends to celebrate his birthday.

Assumptions:

I. Most of Mohan’s friends may come to his house on his birthday.

II. There may not be more than thirty who may attend Mohan’s birthday party.

Options:
A) If only Assumption I is implicit
B) If only Assumption II is implicit
C) If either Assumption I or II is implicit
D)

If neither Assumption I nor II is implicit

E) If both Assumptions 1 and II are Implicit
Solution:

Ans (a) Assumption I is implicit because it is correctly assumed.

Assumption II is not implicit because of the words “about thirty persons” which mean “approximately thirty i.e. may be a few more, maybe a few less”.
