Find the ratio of the average annual growth rate of the tax paid by ABC Limited from 2002 to 2008 to the average annual growth rate of the sales made by XYZ Limited from 2002 to 2008.

Solution:

Ans: (d)

Required ratio of average annual growth rate

= \(\cfrac{1}{6}\) × \(\cfrac{8.5-4.5}{4.5}\)  × \(100:\cfrac{1}{6}\) × \(\cfrac{500-150}{150}\)   × 100

= \(\cfrac{4}{4.5}\): \(\cfrac{7}{3}\)= 8:21
