Query (Question: 108629.1 )

How have we considered 48 * 10000 instead of 48 * 1000. Because, in first graph, it was given as figures are in thousands.

Question:
DIRECTIONS: Study the following line graphs which show the productions and percentage exported of scooters, motorbikes and cars respectively over the years.




Find the total number of automobiles exported in the year 1999
Options:
A) 22760
B) 20760
C) 21760
D) 22000
E) None of these
Solution:
total number of automobiles exported in the year 1999

= 12% of 48000 + 20% of 60000 + 10% of 40000

=12x480 + 20x600 + 10x400

= 5760 + 12000 + 4000

= 21760

total number of automobiles exported in the year 1999

= 12% of 48000 + 20% of 60000 + 10% of 40000

=12x480 + 20x600 + 10x400

= 5760 + 12000 + 4000

= 21760
