Dear Student, Correlate the values of p and q properly. As we have, p = -2, 0.25 and q = 0.33, -1 -2<0.33 means p<q -2<-1 means p<q 0.25<0.33 means p<q 0.25>-1 means p>q < and > never occur together, so no relationship can be made. Keep Learning with Us Best Wishes Team Toprankers

DIRECTIONS: In the following questions, two equations numbered I and II are given. Solve both the equations and given your answer as

I.  15P2 - 11P +2 = 0 

II. 21q2 - 13q + 2 = 0
Options:
A)

If p > q 

B) If p ≥ q
C) If p < q
D) If p ≤ q
E) If p = q or relationship cannot be established
Solution:
Ans: (b) 

I.15P2 - 11P + 2 = 0 

15P2 - 6P – 5P + 2 = 0

3P(5P - 2) – (5P - 2) = 0

(3P - 1)(5P - 2) = 0

If 3P - 1 = 0 then P = 1/3

If 5P – 2 = 0 then  P = 2/5

II.

21q2 - 13q +2 = 0

21q2 - 6q - 7q + 2 = 0

3q(7q - 2) - (7q - 2) = 0

(3q - 1)(7q - 2) = 0

If  3q – 1 = 0 then q = 1/3

If  7q - 2 = 0 then q = 2/7

As, p = 1/3, p= 2/5 and q = 1/3 , q=2/7

Hence p ≥ q
