D uses lotus and E is two places away from lotus as per the statement....Is it fulfilling your diagram? Pls re-check

Question:

DIRECTIONS: These questions are based on the following information.

Eight friends A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H – sit in a straight line facing north. Each one of them uses a different branded lotions among – Ponds, Spinz, Dove, Lotus, Pearl, Yardley, Nivea and Santoor – but not necessarily in the same order.

The following information is known about their seating arrangements:

Two persons sit between the one who uses Dove and D. Neither the one who uses Dove nor D sit in the fourth place from either ends of the row. E uses Spinz and sits adjacent to neither D nor the one who uses Dove. The one who uses Lotus sits two places away from E. Only one person sits between G and C. Neither C nor G uses Dove and they do not sit adjacent to the one who uses Lotus. The one who uses Ponds sits second to the right of C. H and the one who uses Santoor sits adjacent to each other. Neither A nor F sits adjacent to G. B does not sit at any end of the row and he uses neither Pearl nor Nivea. A neither sits adjacent to D nor uses Nivea.

Which of the given statements is definitely true?

Options:
A)

A and C sit adjacent to each other

B)

B sits two places away from F

C)

G uses Yardley

D)

F sits at one of the ends

E)

More than one of the above

Solution:

Ans: (e)

It is given that two persons sit between the one who uses Dove and D. Neither the one who uses Dove nor D sits at the fourth place from either end of the row. Hence they sit at the third place from both the ends in any order. E uses Spinz and sits adjacent to neither D nor the one who uses Dove. The one who uses Lotus sits two places away from E. Hence E sits at one of the ends and D uses Lotus and sits two places away from E. Only one person sits between G and C. Neither C nor G uses Dove and they do not sit adjacent to the one who uses lotus. Hence both C and G are adjacent to the one who uses Dove which can be shown as follows:

The one who uses Ponds sits second to the right of C. Hence G sits second to the right of C and uses Ponds. H and the one who uses Santoor sits adjacent to each other. Hence C uses Santoor and H sits adjacent to C. Neither A nor F sits adjacent to G. B does not sit at any end of the row and he uses neither Pearl nor Nivea. A does not sit adjacent to D and does not use Nivea. Hence A sits at the left end of the row and uses Pearl, B sits to the immediate right of G and uses Yardley. The final seating arrangement is as follows.

Both (a) and (b) are true.

Dear student,

"one place away from" mean "next to", and "two places away from" same as "next place but one". means there are one gap. according to given instruction E is two place away D here one gap between them.
