need solution

Question:
At what percent rate per annum will the simple interest on a sum of money be \(\cfrac{2}{5} th\) of the amount in 10 years.
Options:
A) 45%
B) 6%
C) \(5\cfrac{2}{3}\)%
D) \(6\cfrac{2}{3}\)%
E) 10%
Solution:
Given that
Simple interest on a Sum in 10 years = \({2 \over 5}\) x amount in 10 years
let x be the sum
\(\Rightarrow {x*R*10 \over 100}={2\over 5}*(x+{x*R*10 \over 100})\)
\(\Rightarrow {R \over 10} = {2 \over 5}(1+{R \over 10 })\)
\(\Rightarrow {R \over 10} = {2 \over 5}+{2R \over 50}\)
\(\Rightarrow {R \over 10}-{2R \over 50} = {2\over 5}\)
\(\Rightarrow {5R-2R\over 50} = {2 \over 5}\)
\(\Rightarrow {3R \over 50} = {2 \over 5}\)
\(\Rightarrow R = {20 \over 3}\)
\(\Rightarrow R = 6{2 \over 3}\)%
