please brief me in details.

Question:

DIRECTIONS: Refer to the following information for the following questions.

The letters A, B, C, D, E, F and G not necessarily in that order, stand for seven consecutive integers between 1 and 10 both inclusive.

● D is 3 less than A.

● B is the middle term.

● F is as much less than D as C is greater than D and none of three sit adjacent to each other.

● G is greater than F & E.

A is as much greater then F as which integer is less than G?

Options:
A)

A

B)

B

C)

C

D)

E

E)

F

Solution:

Ans(d)

According to the given conditions the following arrangement, (in increasing order is possible.

We are given that B is exactly the middle term and D is 3 less than A so,

But we are also given that “F is as much less than D as C is greater than D and none of three sit adjacent to each other.” Now as we know F is less than D but is not adjacent to D. So the above case is  ruled out and D would be the term which is exactly less than B. This will give us the following arrangement -

Now G is greater than F & E so G would be the greatest integer.

.

From the above arrangement. A is as much greater than F as E is less than G. Hence, the answer is (d).
