ans is option 1. bcz D>=N DOESN'T FOLLOWS

Question:
DIRECTIONS :In the following questions, the symbols @, ©, % # and * are used with the following meaning as illustrated below:

‘P % Q’ means  ‘P is neither greater than nor equal to Q’.

‘P * Q’ means  ‘P is neither smaller than nor equal to Q’

‘P @ Q’ means  ‘P is not greater than Q’.

‘P # Q’ means  ‘P is not smaller than Q’

‘P © Q’ means  ‘P is neither greater than nor smaller than Q’.

Now in each of the following questions assuming me given statements to be true, find which of the three conclusions I, II and III given below them is/are definitely true and give your answer accordingly.

Statements:

D*K, K%N, N@F

Conclusions:

I. D*N

II. F*K

III.D@N

Options:
A) Only II is true
B) Only either I or III and II are true
C) Only either I or III is true
D) Only I and II are true
E) None of these
Solution:
Ans : (b)

Given that,

P % Q ⟹ P < Q

P * Q  ⟹ P > Q

P @ Q ⟹ P ≤ Q

P # Q  ⟹ P ≥ Q

P © Q ⟹ P = Q

Statement:

D  * K  ⇒ D > K

K % N ⇒  K < N

N @ F ⇒ N ≤ F

Hence,

D > K < N ≤ F

Yes Conclusion I and Conclusion III independently do no to follow.....but Conclusion I and III making contradiction.....because we know that only three signs happen in inequalities which are >/=/<...any one of them has to be between two elements to establish relationship....Here we do not have any relation between D and N in statements...but in conclusion I: D>N and Conclusion III: D<=N....so these two conclusions make contradiction....and either or option appears in this case...Thats why either I or III is also true.....
