FROM WHERE DO YOU GET 80% CAN YOU EXPLAIN ME IN THAT QUESTION

Question:
In an election between two candidates. One got 55% of the total valid votes, 20% of the votes were invalid. If the total number of votes was 7,500, the number of valid votes that the other candidate got, was.
Options:
A) 2,700
B) 2,900
C) 3,000
D) 3,100
E) 3,200
Solution:
Number of valid votes = 80% of 7500 = (80*7500)/100=6000

Valid votes get by other candidate = 6000-{(6000*55)/100}=6000-3300=2700
