Ms Jones is very fussy in watering her flower-pots. She Waters pots A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, and J on every day of the week. In going from one pot to another, she strictly adheres to the following rules:


The first two pots to be watered every day must be selected from C, D, E and F.

H cannot be watered before D, and J cannot be watered after I.

G can be watered only after B.

F must be watered before C.

If D is the fourth pot to be watered on a day, which of the following pots cannot be fifth on that day?

Options:
A) C
B) F
C) E
D) H
E) D
Solution:
Ans: (b) If D is the fourth pot and F the fifth, then C and E must be among the first two pots to be watered. Which means C will be watered before F. But this violates the last condition.
