8, 9, 8, 7, 10, 9, 6, 11, 10, ?, 12
Options:

Solution:

The given is the combination of three series:


1st : 8, 7, 6,  ?


2nd : 9, 10, 11, 12


3rd : 8, 9, 10


Pattern in 1st series is subtract 1 in the preceded term to get  , so the missing term is 6 – 1 = 5.
