how can x capital ratio be 60:180:72
x draw half of capital after 4 month ie 10*4+5*8 =80 should come instead of 60

Question:
X, Y, and Z enter into a partnership and their investment are in the ratio \(\cfrac{1}{3}\):\(\cfrac{1}{2}\):\(\cfrac{1}{5}\). X withdraws half the capital after 4 month. At the end of the year, a profit of \(\unicode{x20B9} \)20,003 is divided among them. Find the share of each?
Options:
A) 4520, 7845, 1338
B) 5820, 11845, 5338
C) 4820, 10845, 4338
D) 4920, 11845, 5338
E) None of these
Solution:
Ratio of investment

X:Y:Z =  \(\cfrac{1}{3}\):\(\cfrac{1}{2}\):\(\cfrac{1}{5}\)

 X:Y:Z = 10 : 15 : 6

Ratio of profit of X:Y:Z = 5\(\times\)12 : 15\(\times\)12 : 6

                                   = 60 : 180 : 72

                                   = 20 : 45 : 18

Sum of ratio = 20+45+18 = 83

X's  share = \(\cfrac{20}{83}\)\(\times\)20003 = 4,820

Y's  share = \(\cfrac{45}{83}\)\(\times\)20003 = 10,845

Z's  share = \(\cfrac{18}{83}\)\(\times\)20003 = 4,338
