DIRECTIONS: Study the following information carefully and answer the questions given below: 


Eight friends A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H are sitting around a square table but not necessarily in the same order. Some of them are facing the centre and some of them are facing outside. Four of them sit at the corners of the table and four other sit at the sides. 


A sits third to the left of F and H sits second to the right of A. A does not sit at any of the sides. H is facing outwards. H and F sit to the immediate left of each other. D and E sits opposite to each other. C sits opposite to F and to the right side of D. G is not the neighbour of C and C is not facing F. F and E sit to the immediate left side of G and B respectively. C sits second to the left of E.

Four of the following five are alike in a certain way based on the directions they are forming and so, form a group. Which is the one that does not belong to that group?

Ans: (e)

→H is facing outwards.H sits second to the right of A. A does not sit at any of the sides.

→ A sits third to the left of F, i.e.there are two possibilities for the positions of F but as given H and F sit to the immediate left of other. Hence we got position of F i.e. immediate left of H.

→ D and E sits opposite to each other means they will be sit at the comes.

→ C sits opposite to F and to right side of D.

→ G is not the neighbour of C and C is not facing F. i.e C is facing outside.

→ C sits second to the left of E i.e. E faces inside and F and E sit to the immediate left side of G and B respectively means G faces inside.
