Question:
DIRECTIONS: India bagged a total of two medals, one silver and one bronze from 117 athletes in Olympics. Badminton player PV Sindhu won historic silver medal in women’s singles badminton event. On the other hand, Wrestler Sakshi Malik secured a bronze in the 58 kg category to become India's first female wrestler to win an Olympic medal. And Dipa Karmakar from India was able to qualify one artistic gymnast into the Olympic competition for the first time since 1964. Despite the fact that these all sportswomen belonged from families with low income, still they managed to gather all their confidence and achieve what they aspire to be. This empowerment of women by encouraging them to participate in sports has opened up many new and exciting avenues for them in the world of sports.

Which of the following can be assumed from the above statement?

(I) There was lack of practice or poor management which results no medal by Indian men athletes.

(II) For next Olympics Indian govt. will form a task force and apply extra effort to win more medals.

(III) Since 1964 Indian gymnast was not get proper training, support and facilities from Indian Government.

Options:
A) Only I
B) Only III
C) Only II and III
D) Only II
E) All of these
Solution:
Ans:(e) All three statements can be assumed as there may be possibility that lack of practice is reason behind failure of Indian women athletes. And obviously after a wonderful performance by two women athletes, Indian govt. will try to give full support to Indian athletes to win more medal in upcoming Olympics for India. As it is mentioned, generally athletes belongs from low income family and there may be possibility that Indian gymnast were not getting all facilities or support from Indian Govt.
