A direction pole at a crossing, due to an accident turns in such a manner that now east pointer is showing southwest. A train went to wrong direction thinking that it was travelling south. In what direction was the train actually traveling?
Options:
A) Southwest
B) Northeast
C) Northwest
D) Southeast
E) None of these
Solution:

Since east is showing southwest, south would be going northwest (135° clockwise rotation). Hence, Train was travelling in Northwest direction.

Here the correct answer is option (c)North-west.
After the accident-
East pointer shows South-west.
North pointer will show South-east
West pointer will show North-east
South pointer will show North-west
