there is no such question in any of the number series ....
please do check this

Question:
DIRECTIONS: Find the wrong term in the following number series.
2, 11, 38, 197, 1172, 8227, 65806
Options:
A) 11
B) 38
C) 197
D) 1172
E) 8227
Solution:

Ans: (d)

The series is based on the following pattern:

 11 = 2 × 3 + 5

38 = 11 × 4 – 6

197 = 38 × 5 + 7

1172 ≠ 197 × 6 – 8

∴ 1172 is wrong and it should be replaced by

197 × 6 – 8 = 1174.
