Solution:

Ans: (b) 

The pattern of the number series is:

8424 ÷ 2 = 4212

4212 ÷ 2 = 2106

2106 ÷2 = 1053 ≠ 1051.

1053 ÷ 2 = 526.5

526.5 ÷ 2 = 263.25

263.25 ÷ 2 = 131.625.
