cannot attempt the test again

Question:
DIRECTIONS: In the following questions, the symbols *, \(\delta\), %, @ and © used with the following meaning as illustrated below:

‘P % Q’ means ‘P is not smaller than Q’.
‘P © Q’ means ‘P is neither smaller than nor equal to Q’.
‘P * Q’ means ‘P is neither greater than nor equal to Q’
‘P \(\delta\) Q’ means ‘P is not greater than Q’.
‘P @ Q’ means ‘P is neither greater than nor smaller than Q’.

Now in each of the following questions assuming the given statements to be true, find which of the three conclusions I, II and III given below them is / are definitely true.
Statements:
R \(\delta\) K, K * M, M @ J

Conclusions:
I. J © K
II. M © R
III. R * J
Options:
A) Only I and II are true.
B) Only II and III are true.
C) Only I and III are true.
D) All I, II and III are true.
E) None of these.
Solution:

Statements: R < K, K < M, M = J

Conclusions:  I. J > K            II. M > R            III. R < J

On combining all the statements together we get R<K<M=J

Conclusion I is true because J is equal to M and M is greater than K, so J>K. From above statement we can see that M is greater than R, so conclusion II is also true. R is less than or equal to M, K<M and M=J, so R<J, therefore conclusion III is also true.

Hence, all the conclusions I, II and III are true.
