If the wages of 45 women amount to Rs 46575 in 48 days, how many men must work 16 days to receive Rs 17250, the daily wages of a man being double than those of a woman?
Options:
A) 20 men
B) 25 men
C) 30 men
D) 15 men
E) None of these
Solution:

Ans:(b) 45w → 48 days → Rs 46575

∴ 1w → 48 days → Rs \(\cfrac{46575}{45}\)

∴ 1w → 1 day Rs \(\cfrac{46575}{45×48}\)  (wages)

Now, according to question

Wage of 1 M = 2 × wage of 1 w

= \(\cfrac{2×46575}{45\times48}=\cfrac{345}{8}\) / day

Req. no = \(\cfrac{17250}{\cfrac{345}{8}\times16}=25\) men
