it also means knotty or full of knots. Then loose can be its antonym, isnt it
?

Question:
DIRECTIONS: Each of the following questions has four pair of words. In each of the questions you have to determine the number of pairs which has/have antonymous relationship between them.

Gratuitous : Warranted

Natty : Loose

Abjure : Espouse

Cadge : Earn

Options:
A) Zero
B) One
C) Two
D) Three
E) Four
Solution:

Ans: (d) Three

‘Gratuitous’ is something that is not called for by the circumstances, hence it is unwarranted. One of the meanings of ‘abjure’ is to reject solemnly

and hence ‘espouse’, which can mean to take up a new belief is its antonym. ‘Cadge’ means to beg, hence ‘earns’ is its antonym. ‘Natty’ means neat and tidy and hence ‘loose’ cannot be its antonym.
