logically (Question: 64237.0 )

If samsung is 7619/-
cost of microsoft +samsung =16000
but it doesnt happen
10%of samsung is 762.

Question:
The cost price of a microsoft mobile and a samsung mobile is Rs.16,000. If the cost of microsoft mobile is 10% more than samsung mobile. Find the cost price of samsung mobile?
Options:
A) Rs.7,619
B) Rs.8,419
C) Rs.6,988
D) Rs.7,545
E) None of these
Solution:

Ans: (a) Let the cost of sasumg mobile = Rs.x

             Cost of the microsoft mobile = Rs1.1x

            Now, x + (1.1x) = 16,000

            2.1x = 16,000

            x = 7,619

             Cost of samsung mobile = Rs.7,619.

Dear Kittu, please add 10% of Samsung's mobile's cost price which is 762 in its samsung cost price 7619 to get cost of microsoft mobile.....

see logically:

16000 = (cp of samsung mobile = 7619) + (10% of samsung mobie's CP = 762) + CP of Microsoft mobile = 16000-7619 = 7619+762 = 8381)

16000=16000

LHS = RHS

Hence, logically its proved.........
