DIRECTIONS: Study the following information carefully and answer the questions that follow.


(i) Seven members of a family A, B, C, D, E, F and G are to be stood in a row from left to right. (The one standing at the left end will be called the 1st and the one standing at the right end will be called the 7th.)

(ii) Their professions are Doctor, Poet, Artist, Engineer, Housewife, IAS and Student, though not necessarily in that order.

(iii) The third person is the housewife.

(iv) D, who is not the IAS, will stand after the person who immediately follows E.

(v)  A is the Artist.

(vi)  The Doctor stands sixth.

(vii)  The Poet stands to the immediate left of the IAS.

(viii)  G stands to the immediate right of F and to the immediate left of B.

(ix)   E, the student, stands fifth.

If in addition to the above changes, the housewife and her husband, the Engineer, agree to interchange places, which of the following will be true ?
Options:
A) D will stand after F but before A.
B) D will be the only person to the right of C.
C) There will be an equal number of persons to the left and to the right of E.
D) There will be only one person to the right of E and to the left of B.
E) The first and last person will be the same as before.

From statement (iii), (vi) and (ix) we can get the following arrangement.
