Question:

DIRECTIONS: Study the following pie chart and bar graph and answer the questions that follow.


The pie chart shows the percentage break-up of the total population in five villages T1, T2, T3, T4 and T5.

The bar graph shows the number of males in each town.



What is the average number of females per village in all the given villages?
Options:
A) 395160
B) 935360
C) 343470
D) 283950
E) None of these
Solution:
Ans. (a) Total population = 4250000 

Total males = 252000 + 350000 + 707200 + 530000 + 435000

= 2274200

Total females = 42500000 – 2274200 = 1975800

Average = \(\cfrac{1975800}{5}\) = 395160
