He is married (a)/ with a twenty five year old girl (b)/ from a village (c)/ in the northwest. (d)/ No error (e)
Options:
A) (a)
B) (b)
C) (c)
D) (d)
E) (e)
Solution:
Ans: (b)with a twenty five year old girl

Prepositions are a source of unending confusion and misuse by learners of English. Here in the sentence there’s a wrong preposition used. “Marry” and ‘marriage’ are always followed by the preposition ‘to’, not ‘with’. The same preposition (to) is used after ‘wed’ or ‘wedded’. When two people are married, they are married ‘to’ each other. So the idiomatic preposition to follow ‘marry’ or ‘marriage’ is ‘to’.
