Question:

Directions : In the givenquestion two equations numbered I and II are given. You have to solve both the equations and

Give answer if

I. x2 = 529

II. y = √529

Options:
A) X > Y
B) X ≥ Y
C) X < Y
D) X ≤ Y
E) X = Y or the relationship cannot be established
Solution:

I. x2 = 529

∴ x =±√529 = ± 23

II. y = √529 =  23

Clearly, x  ≤ Y

Given answer is correct...you must know how to solve these kind of inequalities in quant section...

I. x2 = 529
∴ x =±√529 = ± 23
in first did square root so take both the signs.

II. y = √529 = 23
Clearly, x ≤ Y

in second, square root is already given in positive sign, so we must take only positive sign... and then correlate..
