DIRECTIONS: Study the following pie charts carefully to answer these questions.

Details of Number of Students studying in different Engineering Branches
 
Total No. of Students studying = 2500


Details of Number of Students who got Campus Placement 

Total No. of Students who got Placement = 1600


Total number of students who got placement from IT and Computer Science together is approximately what per cent of the total number of students studying these two disciplines together? 
Options:
A) 43
B) 75
C) 60
D) 65
E) 70
Solution:
Ans-(c):  Number of students who study IT and computer science. 
=\(\cfrac{2500\times42}{100}\)= 1050
Number of students who got placement in IT and computer science 
=\(\cfrac{1600\times39}{100}\)=624
Required percentage 
\(\cfrac{624}{1050}\times100\)=59.42% = 60% approx
