please hlep me in finding directions for 'M' and 'G'

Question:

DIRECTIONS: These questions are based on the following information.

Eight persons – G, H, I, J, K, L, M, and N – are sitting in a straight line facing either north or south but not necessarily in the same order. No three persons sitting adjacent to each other face the same direction.

1. K sits third to the left of J and they both face same direction.

2. Four persons sit between H and I and neither of them sits at the end.

3. K sits to the immediate right of I but not at any of the ends.

4. L sits three places away to the left of H and they face different directions.

5. M sits to the left of N who faces north.

6. G sits neither adjacent to H nor to the left of K.

Who among the following sits second to the right of G?

Options:
A)

H

B)

I

C)

N

D)

K

E)

M

Solution:

Ans: (d) It is given that four persons sit between H and I and neither of them sits at the end. K sits to the immediate right of I and third to the left of J but not at any of the ends K and J face the same direction. From the above points we get the following two possible arrangements

Case(i)  _ H J↓ _ _ K↓ I↓  _

Case(ii) _ I↑ K↑ _ _ J↑ H _

As L sits third to the left of H, L sits to the immediate right of K in the both the cases and H faces south in case (i) and H faces north in case (ii). As G sits neither adjacent to nor to the left of K, G sits to the immediate left of J in the both cases. As no three persons sitting adjacent face the same direction, in case (i), persons sitting at the ends and G face north. In case (ii), persons sitting at the ends and G face south. But it is given that M sits to the left of N who faces north. In case (ii) only two places are left and they have to face south. Thus, case (ii) is eliminated. In case (i), M sits to the immediate right of H and N sits immediate left of I. Hence, the final seating arrangement is as below.

M↑ H↓ J↓ G↑ L↑ K↓ I↓ N↑

K sits second to the right of G.

Dear student
Given answer is correct;
As no three persons sitting adjacent to each other facing the same direction.
So H & J are already facing south so M will face north so G will also be facing north.
