Gender of persons is not specified (Question: 103661.1 )

Cannot find the answer just by assuming the gender by names. The solution is incorrect. Kindly clarify.

Question:

DIRECTIONS: Study the given information carefully and answer the questions  given below.

1. Shinay, Ramesh and Shikhar are children of Mr. and Mrs. Ramnani.

2. Rani, Ranu and Sindhu are children of Mr. and Mrs. Malya.

3. Sindhu and Shinay are married couple and Amaan and Santosh are their children.

4. Geetanjali and Roshan are children of Mr. and Mrs. Goswami.

5. Geetanjali is married to Shikhar and has three children named Ruhi, Samaksh and Rajan.

How is Ramesh related to Amaan?

B) Maternal uncle

Solution:

Sol: (b) Amaan is the son of Ramesh’s sister Shinay, therefore, Ramesh is the maternal uncle of Amaan.

Hi, there is no need to konw gender of Santosh to answer the question which u have asked....Because need to find Santosh's Sir name, So, Santosh is the son of Sindhu and Sindhu is the son of Mr.& Mrs. Malya, therefore Surname of Santosh is Malya.
