Question:
C.P. of two articles is same. One sold at 15% profit and the other for Rs. 4800 more than the first. If the net profit is 20 % then find the C.P. of each article ?
Options:
A) Rs. 47500
B) Rs. 48000
C) Rs. 46000
D) Rs. 47000
E) None of these
Solution:

S.P.2 = 240 – 115

= Rs. 125

Difference = S.P.2 - S.P.1 = 10

If difference = 10 then C.P. = 100

If difference = 4800 then C.P.

 = \(\frac{100\times4800}{10}\) = Rs. 48000
