FCI Quadratic equation (Question:871863.0)

in question no 94 roots of both equations are -1,5/9 and -1,6/7 ,then how ans is that the relationship between x,y can``t be established `when -1 same in both the roots. Not able to understand please explain.

Question:
DIRECTIONS: In the following questions two equations numbered I and II are given. You have to solve both the equations and give answer.

I. 9x2 + 4x – 5 = 0

II. 7y2 + y – 6= 0

Options:
A) If x > y
B) If x < y
C) If x \(\geq\) y
D) If x \(\leq\)  y
E) If x =y or the relationship between x and y can’t be established

Dear student
After solving the fractional value;
Root of x are= -1 & 0.5
Root of y are= -1 & 0.8
By comparing the values;
-1 = -1
-1 < 0.8
0.5 > -1
0.5 < 0.8
Signs are opposite so answer must be cannot be determine.
