Can you please explain the answer?

Question:
DIRECTIONS: The question given below contain two statements giving certain data. You have to decide whether the data given in the statements are sufficient for answering the question? Mark answer-

What is the value of the positive integer X?

(I) When 23 and 25 are divided by X, the remainders are 3 and 1 respectively and quotients are same in both the cases.

(II) When 24 is divided by X, the remainder is zero.

Options:
A) If statement I alone is sufficient but statement II alone is not sufficient.
B) If statement II alone is sufficient but statement I alone is not sufficient.
C) If each statement alone (either I or II) is sufficient.
D) If statement I and II together are not sufficient.
E) If the statements I and II together are necessary to answer the question.
Solution:
Ans: (a)

Statement I:

23 - 3 = 20

25 - 1 = 24

20 & 24 are factors of 2 and 4.

Statement II:

24 is factor of 2,3,4,6,8,12,24.

There is no common value of x. So statement I alone is sufficient.

2.x+180/27=x/9
We can find the train length 'x',from that we can also find the train speed.so either 1or 2 might be the correct answer

Dear student
23 - 3 =20
25 - 1 =24
Here 20 & 24 both are factors of 2,4,6.Hence divided by 2,4,6.
But 24 can be divided by 2,3,4,6,8,12,24.
The assumed value of x are not common in statement II.So option (A) is correct.
