can anyone explain how we got Local calls of APPLE and AIRCOMM. unable to understand the solution

Question:

Directions: Following questions are based on the information given below.

The bar charts give the statistics regarding the telecommunications industry. There are only three types of services—LOCAL STD, and ISD—offered by the industry, and there are only four companies—AIRCOMM, AIRSIM, DATACOM and APPLE—in the industry. Sales in this industry are measured in terms of number of call units.

Additional Data for questions 3, 4 and 5:

Given the above information, what could be the least possible amount spent by all the customers on all the LOCAL and STD calls put together? Assume that a customer can utilize the services of more than one company.
Options:
A) Rs 22 lakh
B) Rs 26.375 lakh
C) Rs 26 lakh
D) Rs 27.75 lakh
E) None of these
Solution:

According to the question, all the LOCAL and STD calls have to be made such that the

amount paid should be minimum. If customers have the choice from all the four companies, then they

will go for the service which is cheapest.

For LOCAL calls, DATACOM is the cheapest but from DATACOM only 2.75 lakh calls can be made.

Similarly cheapest STD charges are when using AIRSIM and 2.0 lakh calls can be made from AIRSIM and

the rest 1.5 lakh calls should be made using the second cheapest service (APPLE).

So, total amount spent on STD calls is

2 × 3.25+ 1.5 × 3.5 = Rs 11.75 lakh.

Total amount spent on local calls is

\(\frac{2.0×2.75}{DATACOM}+\frac{2.25×2.5}{APPLE}+\frac{2.5×1.25}{AIRCOMM}\)

= 5.5 + 2.5(3.5) = 5.5 + 8.75 = 14.25

Therefore total amount spent = 11.75 + 14.25

= Rs 26 lakh.
