IN question 5.5 was given but in solution 65 is mentioned please explain how ????

Question:
DIRECTIONS: In the following question, two statements numbered I and II are given, on solving them, we get quantities I and II respectively. Compare both the quantities and choose the correct option.

Quantity I-The price of an article is reduced by 25% but the daily sale of the article is increased by 30%. The net % effect on the daily budget is:

Quantity II- In a medical examination, by mistake a candidate gave his height as 25% more than normal. In the interview panel, he clarified that his height was 5 feet 5 inches. Find the percentage correction made by the candidates from his stated height to his actual height.

Options:
A) Quantity I > Quantity II
B) Quantity I < Quantity II
C) Quantity I ≥ Quantity II
D) Quantity I ≤ Quantity II
E) Quantity I = Quantity II or the relation can’t be determined
Solution:
Ans: (b)

From Quantity I,

Let the price of the article be ₹100 and the daily sale be 100 units

∴∴∴ \(\therefore\) Revenue per day = 100 × ×
××××
100 = ₹10000

Case II:

New receipts = 75 × 130 = ₹9750

Decrease = ₹ (10000 - 9750) = ₹250

∴∴∴∴∴∴\(\therefore\) % decrease = \(\cfrac{250}{10000} \)  × 100 = 2\(\cfrac{1}{2}\) %

From Quantity II,

Height given in medical examination = 65 × 1.25

Height given in interview panel = 65

% correction made by student = \(\cfrac{65\times 1.25-65}{65\times 1.25}\times 100=20\%\)

1 FEET= 12 INCH
5 FEET* 12= 60 INCH
In qn, 5ft 5inch, therefore 60+5= 65 inch
